It is said that ‘‘The soul of India lives in its village”. Borjalenga is a beautiful village in Dholai Tehsil in Cachar District of Assam State, India. The village is much near to the city silchar which is only 23 km. The village have a very beautiful and attractive lifestyle. The village is peaceful, clam, quiet and full of greenery where one can breathe fresh air. The village was awarded with ‘’Nirmal Gram Puraskar” which is given by Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MoDWS), Government Of India (GOI) to those , that is Gram Panchayat, Block Panchayat and District Panchayat. Nirmal Gram ensures health, hygiene and sanitation in rural India. The active youths of the village are engaged in several welfare activities. Borjalenga pioneer Sanga NGO is doing well. The village is also surrounded by the number of tea gardens like Rosekandy Tea Estate, West Jalinga Tea Estate etc. which is famous for its quality tea production. The village economy is agronomy. A major part of the village population is extensively involved in agriculral activities.

The Kachakanti temple (mandir) is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess "Kachakanti" one of the oldest temple in Barak Valley located at a distance of 11 Km. from Silchar (Udarbund) which ishistorical & most celebrated temple of South Assam, India. The mother goddess "Kachakanti” is said to be amalgamation of two powerful Hindu deities: mother Durga and mother Kali. The goddessassociated with empowerment of shakti. Goddess "Kachakanti" most common four armed, shows each hand carrying variously a sword, a severed head etc. She is represented as the consort of Lord Shiva, on whose body she is being seen standing. Shiva lies in the path of Kali, whose foot on Shiva subdues her anger. It is the main temple in a complex another is Shiva temple. It is an important pilgrimage destination for ethnically Bengali and Hindu people in the district. Reaching Udarbund is easy, it is 354 kilometres south east of Guwahati. By Air, By Train and By Bus are the three major mode of transport in the valley. Jirighat is a beautiful hilly village in Lakhipur Tehsil in Cachar District of Assam State, India. It is located 45 KM towards East from District head quarters Silchar. By the name of Jiri river it stands Jirighat (Assam) and also Jiribam (Manipur). This Place is in the border of the Cachar District and Imphal East District (Jiribum). Imphal East District Jiribam is East towards this place . Jirighat is Famous for tea garden. The sick tea garden is recently purchased by Hyderabad-based company, Emmel Infra-Properties India Private Limited. Mainly bengali majority but tribals Naga, kuki , Manipuris Burmans are also there. A primary school is also located namely ''77 No Jhirighat Tea Garden LpsSchool" within the garden to raise education among the childrens of garden tribes.
