It is said that ‘‘The soul of India lives in its village”. Borjalenga is a beautiful village in Dholai Tehsil in Cachar District of Assam State, India. The village is much near to the city silchar which is only 23 km. The village have a very beautiful and attractive lifestyle. The village is peaceful, clam, quiet and full of greenery where one can breathe fresh air. The village was awarded with ‘’Nirmal Gram Puraskar” which is given by Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MoDWS), Government Of India (GOI) to those , that is Gram Panchayat, Block Panchayat and District Panchayat. Nirmal Gram ensures health, hygiene and sanitation in rural India. The active youths of the village are engaged in several welfare activities. Borjalenga pioneer Sanga NGO is doing well. The village is also surrounded by the number of tea gardens like Rosekandy Tea Estate, West Jalinga Tea Estate etc. which is famous for its quality tea production. The village economy is agronomy. A major part of the village population is extensively involved in agriculral activities.
